Terms of Service

reelnb is not open for paid orders yet. Until it opens, these terms cover the free pilot film: asking for one at reelnb.com, making it, and using it. Before anyone can pay for a film, we publish new terms, and they apply only to orders made under them. These terms are written in English, and the English version binds.

1. Who we are

During the pilot, reelnb is run by its founder, Matej Rieciciar, a private individual in Slovakia ("reelnb", "we", "us"). You can reach us at info@reelnb.com. Once reelnb is run by a company, we tell you, and these terms name it.

2. Who the pilot is for

The pilot is for places to stay: hotels, guesthouses, holiday rentals and similar properties. By asking for a pilot film you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and the owner or the manager of the property, or authorised to act for it ("you").

3. What we make

We make a film of your property ("the film") from the photos and information you give us. A filmmaker writes and directs it; the images are made with AI tools. The film is synthetic content: it is not a recording of your property, and the people in it are characters created by reelnb, not real persons. Our characters also appear in other places' films. Within these limits the film is true to your property (Section 8).

4. A request, not an order

• You ask for a pilot film through the form at reelnb.com: you name your property, choose a guest, send your photos and sign the consents in the last step (Section 5).
• There are only a few free films, the pilot is meant to show our work, and we want it to show different kinds of places. So we choose the places ourselves, depending on whether a place fits the pilot at the time, and may decline any request without giving reasons.
• Your request becomes an agreement only when we accept it by email. Until then neither of us is bound.
• If your place is not chosen, we thank you with a discount on your first film when reelnb opens. We send it once, by email; its size, conditions and end date are stated in that email. You do not have to use it.
• One pilot request per property and email address. The pilot costs nothing, and we never ask you for payment details for it.

5. Signing

You sign your request's consents electronically: you type your name, say who you sign as and confirm that you may agree on the property's behalf. This is a simple electronic signature under the EU eIDAS Regulation, and you agree that it binds you as a handwritten signature would. We keep a record of what you signed, word for word, with the version of these terms, the time, the IP address and browser you signed from and a fingerprint (hash) of each photo the consents cover. Records are only ever added to, never changed, and we email you a copy.

6. Your photos and other material

What you confirm. For every photo, video, text and logo you send us or let us use ("your material"), you confirm that:

• it is yours, or you have the permission of everyone who holds rights in it, including the photographer;
• every person who can be recognised in it has agreed to its use, or you have another lawful basis to let us use it. Tell us which photos show people: we leave them out or keep the people out of the film;
• it shows your property as it really is.

The pilot's licence. By asking for a pilot film you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the photos and videos you send and those you published on your own website, your own social media accounts and your own listings on booking platforms such as Booking.com or Airbnb, together with your property's name, logo and descriptions:

• to make the film, including storing them and processing them with AI tools through our service providers, and adapting them into reference images and scenes;
• if your place is chosen, to show the finished film, these photos and your property's name as an example of our work on our website, on our social media, in our advertising and in conversations with other places.

We do not sell your material to others or use it to train AI models. You may ask us to stop using the film for new promotion at any time; existing uses may take a short time to update or remove. If your place is not chosen, we use your material for nothing else and delete it as our Privacy Policy says.

If someone claims rights in your material. You will help us answer the claim, and you will cover the costs and damages that result from what you confirmed above not being true. We may stop using any material that is challenged, and we may refuse material we cannot verify or that raises a legal or ethical concern.

7. The pilot film

• It is 20 to 30 seconds long, in landscape 16:9 and 1080p. On request we also cut a portrait 9:16 version from it, free of charge.
• No delivery date is promised: pilot films take the time they need, usually a few weeks, and we write to you when yours is ready. We deliver it by email, with a link to a page where you can watch and download it, leave notes on it and ask for other versions. The link stays open for 30 days, so keep your own copy.
• Tell us on that page or by email what is not right. One round of changes is included: we change single shots or scenes, and fix what does not match your property. The guest and the idea of the film are chosen with your request and stay as they are; a different guest or a new idea is a new film. Other versions may cost something once reelnb opens; we always tell you before we start.
• We may stop working on a pilot film if it cannot be made truthfully or raises a legal concern. We then tell you, and neither of us owes the other anything.

8. Truthfulness

We do not change the real shape, colour, material or location of anything we show of your property. We may change the light, the weather, the season, the time of day and the movement of the camera, and we add our characters. What cannot be seen in your material stays out of the film; if a scene cannot be made truthfully, we simplify it or leave it out.

9. Your use of the film

• Once it is delivered, you may use the film worldwide, free and without time limit to promote your property: on your website, on your social media, in your booking listings and in advertising. You may cut and shorten it, as long as Section 10 is kept.
• You may not use our characters or parts of the film for other content, sell or license the film to others, use it to train AI, or present it as real footage.
• We will not license your film to anyone else. We keep our rights in our characters, methods and tools.

10. Telling people the film is made with AI

The film is AI-generated content that shows a real place, which Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires to be disclosed. So every film carries a small "AI" label in the picture from its first frame. When you publish it:

• keep that label visible: do not crop, cover or remove it, and do not cut the film so that it is lost;
• add the line we give you with the film ("Created with AI from real photos of your property") to the post, and switch on the platform's AI label where it has one (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube);
• do not present the film as footage of real people or of a real shoot, and do not remove any other marking it carries.

You are responsible for how you publish and caption the film; if you are unsure, ask us and we help you word it.

11. Fair use

You may use reelnb only for a real property you may act for. You may not send material that is not yours to give, ask for content that misleads about a property or is unlawful, sexual or hateful, try to copy or reverse-engineer our methods, or misuse or overload the service.

12. Liability

• We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
• Otherwise, because the pilot film is free, our liability is limited to EUR 100.
• We are not liable for lost profit, lost bookings or other indirect damage, or for how you publish the film (Section 10).

13. Ending

We may decline or stop a pilot film, and suspend access, if these terms are seriously breached, for example through fraud, material that is not yours to give or unlawful requests. Sections 6, 9, 10, 12 and 15 continue to apply after the pilot ends.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for future requests. The version you signed, which your signed record names, applies to your request and your film.

15. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, without its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the competent courts of the Slovak Republic, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
