Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data reelnb processes during its free pilot, why, for how long and what rights you have. Most of the data is about the person who asks for a film for a property, and sometimes about people who appear in its photos. Before reelnb opens for paid orders, we update this policy.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of the personal data described here is Matej Rieciciar, a private individual in Slovakia, who founded reelnb and runs it during the pilot ("reelnb", "we", "us"). For anything about your data, write to info@reelnb.com. Once reelnb is run by a company, this policy names it.

2. What we process

• Your contact and request details: your name, email address, the role you sign as, the property's name, address, website and booking links, your wishes for the film, and what you choose in the form.
• Your signature and its record: the name you type to sign, who you sign as, the time, the IP address and browser you signed from, together with the exact wording you agreed to, the version of our terms and a fingerprint (hash) of each photo it covers.
• Photos and videos of the property: those you send us and those you published on your own website, social media and booking listings. They can show people.
• Public information about the property: what can be found about the place itself on the web (what it offers, what guests value, its surroundings), so the film is true to it. We look for the place, not for people.
• What you write on your film's page: your notes on the film, requests for other versions and whether you approved it.
• Emails we exchange with you.
• Technical data: the IP address and browser of visits, in server logs, and the cookies in Section 10.

The pilot is free: we never ask for or receive payment details.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you may object (Section 8).

4. Photos, AI and the people in them

• Your photos are used only to make your film and, if your place was chosen, to show it as our work.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models and do not give them to anyone for that purpose. Our AI providers process them to make your film; where a provider offers a setting that keeps its models from learning from what we send, we use it.
• We do not use facial recognition and do not identify or profile anyone.
• The guests in our films are characters created by reelnb, not real people, and are not made from anyone in your photos.
• If people can be recognised in a photo, we keep them out of the film or leave the photo out. Please do not send photos that show children.

5. Who receives data

We share personal data only with providers who process it for us, and only what each of them needs:

• hosting, database and file storage, located in the EU;
• email delivery and our mailbox, for the emails about your request and your film;
• AI providers for text and images, which receive your request's text, the property's details and photos to help plan and prepare your film;
• AI video generation providers, which receive the photos and reference images used for your film;
• map and address search, which receive only the text you type into the name or address field of the form; we send it from our server, so they never see your IP address.

Only the people who work on your film at reelnb see your request. The current list of providers, with the countries where they process data, is available on request at info@reelnb.com. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. We transfer data to them only on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified under it, or of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the safeguards they require. Ask us for details.

7. How long we keep data

You can ask us to delete your photos earlier at any time.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, for its correction or deletion, to restrict its processing, and for a copy in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest and withdraw any permission you gave, for future uses. Write to info@reelnb.com; we answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, in particular the one where you live or work. In Slovakia it is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.

9. No decisions made by machines alone

AI tools help make the film. Every decision about you, such as choosing the pilot's places, is made by a person.

10. Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work, so we do not ask for consent:

The studio, which only our team uses, sets its own sign-in and settings cookies. We use no analytics or advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires.

11. Emails we send

We send emails about your pilot request and your film: the confirmation, our answer, questions, and the delivery. If your request was not chosen, we send one more email when reelnb opens, with the thank-you offer we promised. We send no newsletters without your consent. Reply "stop" to any email that is not about a film in progress, and we stop.

12. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest where our providers support it, give access only to the people who need it, and keep signed records so that any change to them can be detected. If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we notify the data protection authority within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay.

13. Changes

We publish changes here with a new version date and tell the places in the pilot about important changes by email.
